When starting out in SFI, it is better to invest in an EA-qualifying purchase as one's initial target of progress is tied more to qalifying purchases, even though, advertising has prominent roles to play in team development and formation, but its attachment to one's starting success isnt as cohesive as with EA- qualifying purchase which ensures good grip of the business and quick advancement. Advertising may take some time to surface with its juicy outcomes but cant be relied upon for that "starting" in SFI.
