The first thing is to demonstrate that this communique is unique and specific. Mentioning something about them, or that they said in their Affiliate profile is helpful to demonstrate that the email is specifically for them.
But I think identification is of the greatest importance. I travel a lot and have been to many countries. The first thing I usually mention to a new affiliate is that I have been to their country (if it is true of course). And I mention something about my experience there.
Other things I mention is my strengths may contribute to their areas of weakness. In their profile they may mention that the least desirable aspect of SFI is XYZ. I share how I might help them their because of a skill or strength I have.
I also mention how their strengths might help me as well. Learning from a new affiliate when they have a strength helps them to become a contributor in the process.
