The goals tab does a very good job, but I use the following as a guide. I set SMART goals: Specific, Measurable, Attainable, Relative and Timely.
An example: I am going to spend 30 minutes every day recruiting affiliates. Sounds like a good goal, right? But think about it, what if I am so busy tomorrow that the only involvement with SFI I have is to complete my to-do list? Well, I just busted my goal. Also, how long am I going to do this for? There's no timeline here.
Better example: I am going to average 30 minutes a day in October recruiting affiliates. Now you can miss a day, but make it up by spending 10 minutes more on 3 days. And this goal ends at the end of October and doesn't go on forever!
