What encouragement can I give to an affiliate who feels he or she is getting nowhere with SFI?

First everyone must realize that it takes time to see meaningful results, but you can see some results, if you follow the 4 steps SFI advises
1. Duplicate: Start recruiting people
2. Have a SO: For you to maintain EA you need to have a SO, at least until you get an active downline
3. Make sells/ purchases: Shift your buying, is one way, if that does not work for you, advertise from the 100,000 plus products from TripleClicks, so you can have commissions in anything you sell
4. Advertise, advertise and advertise
I would throw in PPA program, and read, read, read, until you understand the concept of SFI/ TripleClicks

How do you get new PSAs to commit to SFI?

I send an e-mail welcoming any new PSA, and in it I highlight the first steps in the journey with SFI, and also mention the new NMP Pack.
I follow that with an e-card, advising them about the e-mail, in case they missed it, and I do that to every single affiliate that joins my team.
Some respond straight away, just sending a " thank you ", or asking for more information. This are the affiliates that usually will keep working SFI.
I also have series of e-mails I send for about 3 weeks with tips, this works well for me.
Some affiliates will not respond to any form of communication, but I persevere and had some affiliates that have started working the program, after being inactive for 7 months, and have gone to team leaders.
Just keep in contact with every single member of your team, some do not commit for reasons of finance, or health or are just skeptical. Your perseverance will pay back

What was your greatest challenge to success in SFI...and how did you overcome it?

My first biggest challenge, was trying to find a way to get a SO (Standing Order) in place, as we have major challenges in the country I live in.
The problems did not deter me, it actually made me more determined than ever to find a way, and I did succeed in the end, and know have my Payonner card
My second biggest challenge was recruiting affiliates. I do not have the time or the know how, of seasoned professionals, and after about 8 months I found the perfect ECA in TripleClicks to order PSA's from, and the rest as the saying goes "IS Hystory"

Why is it important to have team members to take on leadership roles?

SFI is about becoming a LEADER, so as an SFI affiliate I strive to be a Team Leader, and become a good leader to the team.
If I want a new affiliate to commit to SFI and become a Team Leader, I should be the example that he/she will follow. As a leader I am a teacher / guide, to all in the team, and as such, I should be able to answer any queries, and guide members to find answers for themselves.
As a Leader I should have the badges to prove what I have accomplished, so team members will strive to immolate me.
As a Leader, I strive to make friends, with my upline as well as downline, try and find from team members what their goals are, take an interest in any problems they may be facing, and help where I can
This to me is why it is important to be a Leader and a Team Member

In my advertising campaigns, is it better to provide more or less information in my ads and why?

In advertising I believe that giving just enough information, to " Wet the appetite " is the way to go. Why am I saying this ?
1 If someone is genuinely interested they will check your site
2 I also believe to much information can be a turn off. Most people read 1 or 2 paragraphs, anything longer, and they go to the next thing
Hope this clarifies my answer
