What are the best ways to stay in contact with PSAs and CSAs and how often is best?

Of course, the best way to stay in contact with your PSAs and CSAs is by using the genealogy mailer. I would recommend daily contact through the stream at best and at the least you want to touch basis with them every 3 days or 3 times per week. Communication is extremely important to leadership as most affiliates will need your guidance and direction.
Nevertheless, some affiliates are more internet and marketing savvy and will not need as much feedback. So a good rule of thumb to live by is that if you don't hear from your network either 1 or 2 things are the case. Either they are good and making progress at a rate that is good for them or they don't care one way or another. The first group you can monitor and the second group team mail won't help because they don't log in.
In the ladder case, I have sent a personal email to them offering my recommendations and support. If they reply then great but if not then I would waste a lot of effort trying to revive their interests. SFI is not for everyone and as such most workers will bud within the first 30 days.
Some affiliates don't mind if you offer them personalize support over the phone. Those affiliates tend to work more loyally when that have a personal connection to you. Nonetheless, others will not be open to your phone call seeing that they are more reserved about speaking with people they haven't met in person. So the bottom line is if someone asks you to call them call them. If they ask questions, answer them in a timely fashion. I check my emails everyday 2 or 3 times a day so that I can get back with anyone usually within 24 hours. Most of the time its less than that.

How important is it to have a good sponsor and co-sponsor?

I honestly can say that you can be very successful in this business without a sponsor. But, a good sponsor is irreplaceable. They can help you curb your learning curb. They can provide you with advertising resources that they use and have gotten results from. They can even reward your effort and support your growth. The way I see it, I will help to build the downline of my movers but they have to move! I refuse to help those who will not at least respond to my emails or ask for help. There is no need to try to water a dead horse. The farmer can work with a good horse, a tire horse, a young horse, or an old horse but a dead horse just needs a good burying!
If you have a dead sponsor, just let them rest in peace. But if you have an active sponsor, the best thing you can do is to keep the lines of communication open. About once a week send them an email with any developments or struggles you face. Ask for their feedback. If you don't ask, many times you will not get help. Everyone brings value to the table so respect that in a good sponsor and follow their recommendations. If you do, they will most likely help you in your pursuit of your goals. Build a relationship with your sponsor so that they can provide you the best support in line with team goals and your goals.

Is it better to promote SFI to friends and family...or to strangers?
Williams Ford, Aff (Georgia, US)

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
Truly it is good to promote SFI to people you know to begin with because they know you. Chances are if they value your relationship with them this greatly improves your odds of getting them to take action. Most of these people do value your connection with them as many of them you have know for years. However, they must also value your offer and see what's in it for them. They will not join just because they like you. But if they like you and perceive how SFI can help them achieve their goals then they will most likely join you.
Yet if they can't see the value, it doesn't mean that they don't like you; it only means they are not interested in SFI because it has no value to them. Don't chase your relatives and friends unless you want them to dread you when they meet you! You stay consistent and patient with SFI yourself and when they see you making good money they may ask you how they can join then.
Notwithstanding, you can promote effectively to people who you will never meet, most likely. This is done through relationship marketing. In a nutshell, build a list of interested people by offering them something for free like a newsletter. Then you follow up with them offering them valuable content. Find out about them and interact with the people on your list as this build liking and trust. Brand yourself as an authority by differentiated yourself from the pack. They will not only follow you but take action on your recommendations.

What do you say to an affiliate who thinks that doing the daily 1 VP actions is a waste of time?
Williams Ford, Aff (Georgia, US)

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
Honestly, I say if anyone is not willing to make the sacrifice required to do the work, they can't enjoy the rewards. Doing the daily actions is never a waste when you have the big picture. It is easy to lose your way without this. Everything just gets blurred and you don't see the use. So what I recommend, is that everyday you remind yourself of why you choose to do this type of work. If it was to create a better lifestyle, then, everyday take 5 minutes to review what a better lifestyle looks like for you. If it is to create wealth, then every day remind yourself of the wealth you are building 1VP at a time.
Sometimes it is good to just step away and reflect. Give your mind some time to breath. Constant work is not good for the body, mind, or spirit. Finally, celebrate every little achievement along the way. Reward yourself often and accordingly for your achievements.

What yardstick should I use to give an unbiased and appropriate rating of my Sponsor each month?
Williams Ford, Aff (Georgia, US)

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
As it has already been stated, you get what you earn. If you are are a good sponsor you can expect a good rating. Now being a good sponsor doesn't necessarily mean that you pander to every situation that your affiliates face but it does mean that you set the pace by your example of leadership.
When your affiliates ask you for help then you should give it liberally and without obligation. Good sponsors offer a newsletter with tips and strategies. They regularly send team mail. They don't micromanage their team. They allow for individual preference. They don't mandate rules and encumber affiliates with tons of links, resources, and recommendations. The are the epitome of excellence in everything they do.
So where the rubber meets the road, if you sponsor is doing these things rate them a 10. I know, 5 is the highest rating. Judge accordingly and rate responsibly. Remember you have team too and you are under the same scrutiny as a leader. Never just deride your sponsor or upline - you wouldn't want that treatment from your team. Do unto others as you would have them to do unto you.

I have one hour daily and a monthly budget of $50. What activities should I do to grow my SFI business?
Williams Ford, Aff (Georgia, US)

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
With one hour daily and a budget of $50 dollars what do you plan to accomplish? The basic pillars of SFI are refer TripleClicks members, sponsor SFI affiliates, and duplicate. This means that your 1 hour may not be sufficient to support your growing business in time but you certainly can get started right where you are.
The first thing is to complete your daily work on the homepage of the affiliate center. Take 15 to 20 minutes doing this. SFI makes it simple by turning the red tabs green when you have review that tab and completed the tasks worth 13 VP everyday. You don't have to cram information down as the links on each tab are available for your review everyday.
The next course of action would be to refer TripleClicks members. Take 20 minutes and promote your gateways on the free traffic exchanges using the marketing aids that are founded in the marketing center. There are ECAs that do sell signups so you can get PSAs/PRMs this way. Just google 'free traffic exchanges' and the most popular will be in the search results. If you are brand new it may take a bit for you to learn how to upload banners, and write creative for ads so be patient with yourself and do what you can everyday and what you don't know learn from all the support here in A2A, the forum, Ask SC, your sponsor, co-sponsor, upline, and support. If you use part of your budget to sponsor PRMs/CSAs/PSAs/ECAs then it simplifies your work load and helps you earn more VP toward TL qualification.
Sponsoring SFI affiliates is done the same way as referring TripleClicks members. Just keep in mind that you have about another 20 minutes to use your sponsoring gateways in your promotion rather than your TripleClicks gateways. Expect a learning curb but when you know what you are doing then you can promote for PSAs 20 minutes every day and get good results when you track your ads for improvement.
Finally to create exponential growth in your SFI business you have to teach your PSAs/CSAs how to do what you have learned to do. So it is paramount to maximize those 60 minutes so you can teach those concepts to your team that you are mastering. Growing a team takes time and patience. Getting PSAs/CSAs is not difficult. You can divide your budget between supporting TripleClicks and building your network. Then when you are profitable reinvest those profits so you have a bigger advertising budget so you can grow your network. Capping your budget for TripleClicks is necessary as there is only so much money for buying products. Never stop promoting everyday and the less time you have the more you will have to invest. It's wise to balance spending according to the time that you have.

For how long should my PSAs and CSAs depend on me for help?
Williams Ford, Aff (Georgia, US)

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
This question is a good one and it really depends on how they are doing. If you PSAs/CSAs need your help then help them. As far as providing gift certificates, I see them as a tool to motivate, encourage, and support my team. There are some who feel differently and that's okay but remember everyone you help along the way adds value to your team. Instead of just granting gift certificates place stipulations of merit on them. Let your affiliates know that you are willing to meet them half way. You can't fund their business but if they are will to do what is needed then your help is earned, deserved, and appreciated.
However, I agree that we should not create 'crippled' affiliates. Encourage them to use the tools and resources available to achieve milestones and badges. Everyone achieves a greater sense of worth for something they have done. Soon as they understand this they will aim to achieve this for themselves without you telling them.
So if an affiliates needs assistance I say help them as best as you can. That affiliate could very well become your next DTL!

Should I stick strictly to using SFI's system or would it benefit me to add some of my own touches and strategies?
Williams Ford, Aff (Georgia, US)

Affiliate since: 07/02/2024, Power Rank: 99999999
In my experience, there is no need to fix something that is not broken. You can learn all you need to be an effective marketer from SFI training from people who have been there and done it. I find that most people want a end all be all solution to their marketing needs and that just does not exists. Everyone has a different work ethic, budget, and other circumstances that will affect how well your marketing does. The key to getting the most out of any system is to execute consistently with frequency over time making appropriate adaptation to fit your needs along the way. That's the beauty of SFI system.
The compensation plan and marketing strategies taught are very flexible. If you have a large budget, then you can take advantage of several shares of the S-builder and do well over time. But if not, then you can sign up for as many free traffic resources as you can handle and track for performance. You have to remember that you have to differentiate yourself from the crowd so you need to brand yourself and become an authority to your team. If they don't see you as a leader that they trust it is difficult to get duplication.
In conclusion, the simplified basics are solid. If you practice so that you can become proficient at sponsoring, referring, and duplication then why settle for anything else? Too many SFI affiliates complicate the plan. Truly it is as simple as monkey see, monkey do. It is inexpensive in comparison to other online opportunities and they usually don't even pan out. SFI's marketing plan, compensation plan, and the SFI Basics are all you need.

What is the most important message I must convey to my team to prevent them becoming inactive?

You can not prevent someone from quitting if that is what they want to do. We are not here to baby sit. We are all adults and should know what we want in life and why. So the only thing we can do to motivate our team is to stay motivated ourselves. This is the best cure for a inactive team. Lead by example and provide all the support you can.
Consequently, some will see that you are seriously trying to build a business and join you. Others will be disillusioned and fall into the misconception that you are somehow more gifted, or more talented, or better suited, or even more financially able. Truth is if you want to succeed in this business, talent, luck, or money has nothing to do with it. There have been plenty of rich failures and there are plenty of rags to riches stories as well. You have to want to do what you can to create your success and keep doing until you reach your goals.
