If you define success in SFI,AS THE OVERALL ACHIEVEMENT AND NOT INDIVIDUAL EARNINGS ALONE,then the reply will be as follows:-

SFI Should be clearly understood as a business(and not an individual overnight money making opportunity)requiring each one of the affiliate to play the role of a team Leader,as also a larger team member.As a leader one who understands the business as a whole,Putting an effective team in place,by thoroughly understanding the concepts of sponsoring & duplication,Keep providing leadership to affiliates on an ongoing basis,understands and utilises all the Paid&Free marketing/Sales Promotion and Advt tools&Processes for his team&self to Enlist PRM's/ECA's apart from affiliates etc

If such skills are lacking in an individual he should try to develop them &still if he is falling short on any aspect,either bring people known to him with such strengths or try to identify among affiliates such skills&entrust the responsibility to them.Rather it is even better,as in the Corporate set-up use "DELEGATION" as a tool to divide responsibilities & accountabilities based on skill sets of affiliates&this way you get more members own responsibility for the success of the team

Hence virtually operating it as a short-term money making activity&in the process not understanding the SFI business as a whole,Concentrating only in certain areas where you are comfortable&not touch others where you lack the skills,also do not make efforts to operate your SFI business as a team(and continue to run as an individual operation),not developing knowledge&skills in your downline(Hence it tend to become individual operation with lower potential)&do not learn skills you do not have from your downline
etc all can contribute to lack of success both in early&later stages

It is not only in SFI,Goal setting is a mandatory key to success in all aspects of your personal& Professional life.SFI ,since will be part of your both Personal&Profssional life,being a "HOME BUSINESS:,it is applicable to SFI as a T.
Every journey needs to have a destination for it to be purposeful.Similarly any business/Activity needs to have a goal.Otherwise as in the cas of a journey without destination,it will be without direction.
SFI being a sustained,long term&ongoing activity,how are we going to set our milestones we want to achieve at different points of time,without short-term/Medium term/Long-term Goals?Just as you need to know the destination&direction of your journey to understand the pros&cons of the route,the preparations you need to do in connection with the journey,the likely time taken for the journey etc,if we are to draw a road-map(Business Planning) for success in our SFI journey,our overall Goal,Sub-goals should be clear,so that we can achieve the desired milestones on dot or ahead in our SFI auccess Journey.

If one has to answer this,first one should be clear on what is required to become a successful affiliate.
1)Do some regular%Systematic actions to earn Versa points&to maximise it to the extent possible to reach the highest leadership level possible &maintain thereafter,as your level has a direct linkage to your earning.
2)Enlisting affiliates as part of your team to geometrically grow the earning potential of self&the team.
3)Enlist TC members(Directly&Through affiliates) whose buying the products& participating in Pricebender auctions can give you&your team earnings,as also valuable versa points to improve one's level
4)Enlist ECA's(Dirctly&through affiliates)which can ensure continuous&ongoing earnings, as long as ECA makes a sale.
5)Make use of Co-ops,W3&other promotion tools to substantially enhance self&tam earning.
The best part is ACK SC has practical questions& answers for all this from affiliats who want to achieve this&leaders who are doing this successfully.While this learning itself is very useful,SFI way of rating&incentivising(TO HAVE EARNING WITH LEARNING- through Versa Points,Participating in Daliy Grand&hence further earnings,if you win) ensures that it is actually read by the affiliates,which helps them to become successful affiliates.
