This is a very thought provoking question, thank you for asking it. I think in regards to producing income from SFI it should be broken down into stepping stones. There are so many variabilities to making money such as how much investment is bing put into it (time, energy, money, etc.)

I think the first stepping stone should be to make enough to cover your monthly standing order. I think that 6 months is a reasonable goal for that IF you are truly working on building and growing your business. This can be done by recruiting and having a solid 5 active PSAs on your first line. It can also be done through TripleClicks sales.

The next stepping stone requires that you set your goals and determine what you would realistically like to accomplish in the next 6 months. Think about whether or not you can double your last 6 months performance. If not in 6 months then when do you think this is reasonable. Then work towards that goal.

It is vitally important to ALWAYS have a goal that you are working to achieve. I believe that this is an essential step.

Great question! I particularly like this question because I used to belong to SFI with my mother many years ago and we used to work as partners (which was so nice!). What we did was play to each other's strengths. Since she had more time (being retired) she would do some of the marketing things such as mailing postcards, ad writing, following up with our downline. I would create a strategy, marketing tools, and handled the many of the more technical components of the business.

I believe in answer to your question the key is to play to each person's strength. So in this day and age if a family member has a knack for YouTube that could be an avenue for advertising that one person owns versus another owning solo ad marketing while another owning FB advertising. I believe that follow-up should come from the actual sponsor so that would remain with you.

This is just an idea of how tasks could be divided ... the key is to play to the strengths of whoever is partnering with you.

I love the forward thinking you have presented in this question, great job! When recruiting through gift cards and TC I personally think that if we can get a person excited about the products in TripleClicks then it becomes much easier to then get them excited about SFI.

One of the questions my downline will often ask me is "How can I sell a product I have not tested and tried?" The gift cards and gift certificates allow us to provide the opportunity for our downline to test a product or products so they can speak honestly about what they are promoting.

I also love to promote the auctions. I am simply hooked on them! I find promoting the TC gift cards to be used in the auctions has been pretty effective and I regularly get hits when I promote Pricebenders. This could be another way to then lead them to SFI.

Great question! I think we should always be at the ready with our "elevator pitch" because one never knows when someone make ask us or when the opportunity may present to share about SFI. Here is mine:

"Do you ever find yourself frustrated because an expense crops up that you hadn't quite planned for? I learned about this great opportunity that allows me to have that extra needed cash on hand for those unexpected surprises. And I am my own boss at the same time!"

Then if the person expresses interest I go on to share about SFI and how it is free to join and take for a "test ride" to see if they like it. I even offer to spot them a $20 gift certificate to become fast-track because it will help them to really learn about the company.

I love this question! Communicating through internet based methods are different then having a 1:1 chat with a person face to face. Still, listening is such an important part of our role as sponsor and mentor.

My suggestions are these:

1. Ask probing questions ... so that you can try to get a better understanding of where the person you are communicating with is coming from. This also helps to establish a connection.

I have been amazed at some of the stories and some of the replies I have received when I send out a team mail or individual mail asking probing questions. My favorite to date is when I sent out an e-mail asking "If I had a Million Dollars..." Simply fantastic! Anyway, I think you get the point.

2. Read responses for understanding from the sender's point of view and not with our own agenda. In our eagerness to promote our business and seek out growth I think at times we can forget to listen in the moment of the other's perspective or present state of being. Again, making a connection is so important. Whatever it takes to make that connection I think is well worth the effort.

3. Always respond back to anyone who reaches out to you.

4. Keep an eye on the activity of those you are engaging in conversation with. Check out their profiles and VP Ledger along with their badges. This tells you something about them which again helps to guide you as you are making the connection.

5. Lastly, offer different methods for people to reach out and connect with you ... Team Mail, e-mail, social media, Messenger in SFI chat, etc. Whatever it takes ... make the connection.

The strategy that I am taking is this:

First I am looking for items in the auctions that I can win and give away as gifts (I love the auctions)

Next, I am beginning all purchases (holiday or not) with TripleClicks first. If I cannot find the item in TripleClicks then I will go search elsewhere
-- by the way, if the item you are looking for does not exist in TC then it means it is an ECA opportunity waiting for you

Thirdly, I am encouraging my team to do the same.

I am keeping it simple and planning on a prosperous holiday season.

I think this is a great question and that you have the curiosity to ask it shows that you are most likely already leading by example for your PSAs and CSAs. My answer to your question though is this:

- Do everything for your PSAs and CSAs that you received or would have liked to receive when you first started. Help in every possible way and when you think you have helped enough, look for ways to help more. I realize that in the beginning it is a bit of hand holding but it is also about building trust.

- Communicate regularly and often. Again, this is establishing that you are constant and reliable.

- Watch your PSAs downline and offer suggestions on following up when you see that they have an active affiliate. This is teaching them to also be a great sponsor and allowing them support in doing their follow-ups. I have noticed that many of my PSAs initially are a little nervous to do their 1st follow-ups. With practice they become more confident and that is what we want to role model and encourage.

- Check in with your active PSAs to see if they have any questions and to make sure they are feeling supported. Do this forever. I also do special Team Mails to my Team Leaders with tips, reminders and encouragement.

I am sure I will think of more things as time goes by but these are my initial thoughts. I hope you find them helpful in some small way.

Great question! I have been reading and researching and continually learning since I joined SFI. I began by reading the books recommended by Gery in the Rules of Success (or was it the Launchpad) ... "Think and Grow Rich", by Napoleon Hill and "The Magic of Thinking Big" by David J. Scwartz. Then I have simply launched on an amazing and incredible journey since then.

The thing that comes up again and again is that not only do we need to have the stick-toit-ness (dedication, determination and never give up kind of attitude) required to succeed but we must be forever and continually thinking of new ways that we can do things. Gery and SFI role model this behavior amazingly. It would be so easy for Gery to say, "Hey, I have a successful business, so good enough" but that NEVER happens in SFI ... not only is he incredibly active in the forums and with us all but he is CONSTANTLY thinking of different things that he can do to make things even better!

So my answer is to continually think and brainstorm ways to reach out to your affiliates. Try something different every day and when you find one thing that works ... even a little ... repeat it. And keep repeating it so long as it works ... but also keep trying new things as well. Never stop thinking about ways you can reach out to your team and ways that you can help your team. Be creative. Think outside the box. Push beyond that point of thinking there is nothing else you can do ... and find one more thing to do.

And, as suggested in one of my recent reads ... spend ten minutes at the start of every day thinking about what you can do differently to improve your communication and interactions with your affiliates. Think about how you can add value. How can you connect with even just one affiliate on a more personal level, building trust and instilling faith in your SFI business.

I hope this provides you with some food for thought.

I think this is a very interesting question and have found the answers pretty interesting as well. What I find is that the ONE thing that my affiliates struggle with is getting started. I address it by providing step by step directions to my affiliates. I then ask them to e-mail me once they have completed the step. I also watch their VP Ledger and if I see that they have taken the action step I reach back out to them. I will offer assistance such as including them in my co-op if they become an EA2 and providing gift certificates to help them achieve EA status.

While this does not always engage the affiliate there are many times that it will and I believe in those instances it is a win/win as the affiliate feels supported and I feel rewarded that I am able to work with them.

Hope this helps in some small way.
